  • Free entry, or paid tickets with online payment or bank transfer
  • Confirmation and reminders a day and an hour before go out automatically
  • The session runs in the Zoom or Teams you already use

What you get for every event

  • Registration and tickets Seats for free events are booked straight away. Tickets can be paid by card, PayPal, EveryPay, Montonio or bank transfer, depending on your plan.
  • Live link Connect Zoom or Teams, or paste your own link. Attendees find it in their dashboard before the start.

Ways to sell seats

Own event page vs the usual stack

Where your attendees, money and time end up — three approaches side by side.

Zoom + form + transfer

Fast to start, but payments, lists and reminders live in different tools you glue together.

Ticketing marketplace

Handy for tickets, yet attendees often stay in another account. Your school and course sit elsewhere.

SelfGrow

Event page, registration, ticket payments, reminders and Zoom/Teams access in one school. Later you can guide the same people into a course.

Timeline

Before · during · after

You prepare the session — SelfGrow handles the emails, reminders and links. Here is what happens at each stage.

  1. Before go-live

You publish the page; SelfGrow sends the emails.

    SelfGrow

    • Confirmation after registration or payment
    • Reminders 24h and 1h before start
    • Short follow-up about an hour after the end

    You

    • Date, timezone, copy, seat limit
    • Free or paid ticket
    • Zoom, Teams or paste a URL
    • Share the event link

Display timezone is the organiser’s. Per-attendee browser timezone is planned. No .ics attachment yet.

  2. During the session

Streaming happens in Zoom or Teams.

    SelfGrow

    • Join link unlocks in the school close to start
    • Registration list stays with you

    You + Zoom/Teams

    • Host the live room externally
    • Q&A, polls, reactions — Zoom/Teams tools
    • Recording — if you enable it there

Forwarding a join link cannot be fully prevented.

  3. After the session

Replay does not become a course by itself.

    SelfGrow

    • Follow-up email
    • Attendees remain in your school

    You

    • Add the recording URL to the library
    • Place it in a course lesson
    • Offer the next product

    See the bridge section below.

Attendee journey

From the event page to the replay

Five steps every attendee goes through. Confirmations, reminders and the live link reach them on their own.

  1. 01 Attendee

    Opens the event page

Sees the date, time, price, seats left and description on your school site.

  2. 02 Attendee

    Registers or pays

A free seat opens straight away. Tickets can be paid by card, PayPal, EveryPay, Montonio or bank transfer.

  3. 03 Automatic

    Gets a confirmation

The confirmation arrives right away, reminders a day and an hour before the start.

  4. 04 Automatic

    Joins the live session

The Zoom or Teams link appears in their dashboard 15 minutes before the start.

  5. 05 Your choice

    Watches the replay

Gets a follow-up email and finds the recording in their dashboard once you add it to a course.

When things do not go to plan

Payment has not gone through

The seat opens after a successful payment. With a bank transfer, it opens once you confirm the payment.

The attendee is late

The link in the dashboard works until the event ends, so they can still join after the start.

Event → course

Your best webinar deserves a second life

You spend days preparing, give it everything for two hours, and the next day it is over. Put the recording into a course and people who missed the live session can still buy it.

Sound familiar?

  • A week of preparation, one evening of income.
  • You are giving the same talk for the third time and know the questions by heart.
  • The recording sits in the Zoom cloud, and a month later nobody remembers it.
  • People ask “what’s next?” after the session, and you have nothing to offer.
From recording to course
  1. Live session Zoom or Teams
  2. Recording link in your library
  3. Course lesson with materials

You add the recording to the course yourself by pasting the link.

  1. 01 Zoom / Teams

    Record the session

Switch on recording in Zoom or Teams. Later it becomes your first lesson.

  2. 02 SelfGrow

    Put it into a course

Paste the link into your library and add slides or a task to the lesson.

  3. 03 SelfGrow

    Offer it to attendees

They already know you. Send a discount code while the session is still fresh.

  4. 04 SelfGrow

    Point to the course

Every next webinar leads to a course that is already waiting.

Where to start

A free first lesson

People get to know you risk-free, and those who like it have something to buy.

A ticket with a course discount

Everyone who bought a ticket gets a course discount code after the session.

A series that grows into a programme

One session a month, and in six months you have a full course.

FAQ

Before your first webinar

Does the live session run in SelfGrow or in Zoom?

In Zoom or Microsoft Teams, connected to your own account. You can also paste any other link, for example to Google Meet. SelfGrow has no video room of its own, but it takes care of everything before and after the session.

How does an attendee get the link after paying?

With card, PayPal, EveryPay or Montonio, the seat opens as soon as the payment goes through. With a bank transfer, it opens once you confirm the payment. The attendee gets an email, and 15 minutes before the start the link appears in their dashboard.

When do reminders go out?

A confirmation right after sign-up, reminders a day and an hour before the start, and one more email about an hour after the session ends. You can adjust these steps in the event automation.

Which time zone do attendees see?

Yours, as the organiser. If your audience is spread across countries, add the time in Riga time or UTC to the description.

Can I limit the number of seats?

Yes. Once every seat is taken, registration closes on its own. There is no separate registration deadline, but you can unpublish the event at any time.

What happens to the recording?

Zoom or Teams saves it. Paste the recording link into a course lesson, and attendees with access watch it in their dashboard.

Can I turn a webinar into a course?

Yes. Add the recording link to your library, place it in a lesson and add your materials. You do this yourself; there is no automatic import.

Can I give attendees a course discount?

Yes. Create a course discount code and send it to attendees. Discount codes work for courses and cannot be used on tickets.

Will SelfGrow bring me attendees?

No, you invite the audience. SelfGrow gives you the event page, payments, reminders and a school where attendees stay after the event.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Change the date or status and let attendees know. Refund through the payment provider the attendee used, or by bank transfer. Write to us if you need help.

Does SelfGrow take a commission on tickets?

Only on card payments through Stripe Connect, and the percentage is shown on your plan card. Bank transfers, PayPal, EveryPay and Montonio reach your account with no SelfGrow percentage.

How are the 14 no-card days different from a plan trial?

The 14 no-card days are there to create an event and check everything as an attendee would. Some paid plans have their own trial; you see its terms and first charge date before activating.

Can someone forward the live link?

Only registered attendees see the link, in their dashboard, not every page visitor. No platform can fully stop forwarding, so it is worth switching on the waiting room in Zoom or Teams.
